end-of-season stink bug - Banasa dimiata
Dove Meadows, just north of Sioux City, Plymouth County, Iowa, USA

Size: abt. 1 cm long
It was low on a tree in a loess hills bur oak woods. We have had several hard freezes and there are very few insects still active. It looks like Banasa dimiata posted on BugGuide from other states.
