Waxy aphid - Drepanaphis

Waxy aphid - Drepanaphis
Montague Plains Wildlife Management Area, Montague, Massachusetts, USA
October 21, 2009
Another aphid that appears unrelated to any "woolly" aphids that I know about. Not Eriosomatinae because of well-developed mouthpart (and wing venation is more complex than in the examples we have; antennae too long too)... there appears to be a pair of black spines sticking out of the top of its back?
