Spider was hitching a ride on my shoulder...was about 1 1/2 inches including legs (all 8 eeeeee) .....can someone id it please? I took it's picture and then smashed it.

Another example of why I wish BG had a formal rather than informal policy against placing copyright labels, etc. directly onto an image. It doesn't stop the image from being misappropriated, but it does ruin the attractiveness of an otherwise nice (except for the background) image.

I agree with you on this particular image...so I have posted an image without my copyright labels but I do think the green background enhances the image....Julie

not a place mat....I brushed
not a place mat....I brushed the spider off my shoulder with my left hand and it landed on the green tarp covering my '81 Cad. I had been cleaning my garage.

Oh, dear...
Someone finally sends in a true brown spider (Loxosceles sp.) and they aren't panic-stricken! LOL! This is probably the native L. reclusa, as Oklahoma is almost the epicenter of its geographic range.
