A syrphid, tribe Syrphini
Probably Sphaerophoria or Allograpta, but I can't quite make out the pattern on the back. Do you have a top view with wings open?

 
Unfortunately I do not have a top view with wings open
but I upload another photo. The quality is bad but I think you could see the pattern a little better.

 
Quite helpful. It's a female Sphaerophoria.
ID on these go only to genus on the females, even with specimen in hand. While pattern is different on this one, the posture and the shape of the striped abdomen is much like yours:
