This looks like the Dasysyrphus genus in the guide. Can this be identified to species? Thanks for any help.

This actually looks more like Lapposyrphus lapponicus to me - the R4+5 vein in the wing is curving up rather than straight as in Eupeodes.

It is a male
I wish I could help you; these flies are so hard to tell apart. I only know for sure that it belongs in the Syrphini tribe.
