I agree, I think it is the white marked tussock moth. most I've seen around MN have more cream colored tufts on their back, but I've seen sibling caterpillars with yellow color variations. this is the caterpillar that rekindled my childhood interest in bugs, and still one of my favorites

we'd go with Orgyia leucostigma - White-marked Tussock Moth, in the guide here, but many are very similar.
