Velvetbean Caterpillar Moth - Anticarsia gemmatalis
Greenwood County, South Carolina, USA
October 19, 2005
Size: 40mm wingspan
Attracted to lights on my porch. Fairly worn but the line is distinctive.

Previously incorrectly guessed as a geometrid (see discussion).

Geometrid-looking Owlet Moth
Velvetbean caterpillar moth - Noctuidae, a tad worn

Thanks
