Identification
Body chestnut brown, wings patterned, including whitish semi-circular mark.
Waves white-tipped front legs like wasp antennae.
Range
Eastern United States, south and west at least as far as the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas
Habitat
Deciduous forests, or wet areas with emergent vegetation.
Season
May-June. LRGV records in May (twice) and September (once)
