Cutworm species? - Noctua pronuba

Cutworm species? - Noctua pronuba
Barkhamsted, Litchfield County, Connecticut, USA
Size: approx. 1-1.5 inches
Found inside folded up lawn chair. Curls right up at the touch of the hand. Sort of looks like Lynette's photo#32031-Dingy Cutworm, in this guide. Slightly different. Help, please?

I think so,
See also this site. Also note, that while I was guessing my photo is a Dingy Cutworm, it is not placed there in the guide because I'm not sure.

Cutworm
Well, for sure it is some species of cutworm. They ARE hard to determine. Have to remember that the instars of various cats can also throw you off. Not saying this is a younger instar but it is similar to the Variagated and the Dingy. For now it is just Cutworm-sp. For my site, I can put Cutworm between Hodges# whatever, and #whatever. Thanks Lynette and keep me posted if you ever find new stuff. I sent in another pose that I had. Looks different from the ones on the link you gave me.
