Guide to spider families and genera found in North America north of Mexico. Includes ID keys and hundreds of black and white illustrations. The keys and figures are quite technical, so beginners may want to look elsewhere. On the other hand, armed with the anatomy figures in the introduction, it can't hurt to dive in and get started! My only gripe so far is that it does not provide much information about specific species.

I agree with Mike
There really isn't enough info about specific species. But in the long run, this has been one of my favorites.

is this book worth getting?
I bought this book, and I have to say it is the best identification guide I have ever seen for any group of orgainsims. If you want to identify spiders in North America, this is THE book to have.

Manual
Ordered mine five months ago and it is still not here. Hopefully it will arrive soon now.

Today
I ordered mine last year and it arrived just today! Maybe they gave me first dibs. :)
