Thank you,
I only use a point-and-shoot camera.

Thanks Lynette,

I have a
stereo microscope without a phototube. These pictures were taken with a point and shoot = Canon S5IS and a ~$60.- close up lens.

Hi Marie,
was wondering if you would share more details regarding your close-up lens, and if you stack multiple images. I too have used an S5IS, but with a reversed 50mm f1.4 old SLR lens, and then have to stack multiple images to get any decent depth of field. That set-up gives me about a 5mm field of view (on the horizontal (long) axis). Your's looks to be possibly significantly higher mag / smaller FoV! But I'm always looking for a better way! :)
Thanks,

Hi Tim,
I took pictures of my setup and ran into a few surprises. That’s why it took me so long to respond. Also, I posted the explanation how I take hi mag pictures to the Photography Forum which I think is more appropriate.
