Cricket creature found on back porch -
Ammopelmatus
San Pedro / Rancho Palos Verdes, Los Angeles County, California, USA
December 11, 2009
I found this 'cricket' on my back porch and have never seen one quite like it, although I haven't lived in California for very long.

Jerusalem Cricket
Yeah, I would definitely say it is a Jerusalem Cricket. Thanks for the welcome. A friend of mine said these are also known as "El Niño de la Tierra".
Very interesting site...
