coccinellid larva - Harmonia axyridis

coccinellid larva - Harmonia axyridis
Atlanta-Midtown, Fulton County, Georgia, USA
December 17, 2009
Size: 8-10mm
Coccinellid larva. ID to genus (or species if possible) would be great. The only coccineline I have seen since moving to Atlanta is the introduced H. axyridis, so that is probably what this is. I have a ton of experience with adult beetles, but new to the larvae. Thanks!

Thanks!
Just one more week till my winter break, then I can collate all the H. axyridis data we've been gathering here. I'm looking forward to some uninterrupted Coccinellidae-curating time!

It's been great to have your share your expertise on the adult beetles. I only have hands-on experience with the species that turn up in urban Philadelphia, which isn't many!

I'm not an expert
But I think you're right, this looks like a fourth (and final) instar Harmonia axyridis larva.
