I agreed with your ID and moved it before I saw your last post. From what I could find the other species, D. oteroana, occurs in the southwestern US. So, I think this other one is the logical choice. They are beautiful spiders. This one looks to be sitting on its characteristic web, just above the surface of the tree trunk.
