Carrion Beetle - Nicrophorus tomentosus
Manitoba, Canada
Found two of these in my flower garden feeding on the remains of a Sparrow.

Question
Why did you post it here (Accidental Adventives)? Do you know what species it is? Looks like maybe Nicrophorus tomentosus. This section of the guide is for species that are not normally found in the wild, but may have "hitch-hiked" into our region on produce or potted plants.

Why did I post it.
Perhaps due to ignorance on my part.
Not being a biologist and not having seen one of these before I was stymied.
If I crossed the line on initial placement, please accept my apologies.
I am now a bit gun shy of posting again.

No problem
It is now relocated. Vey easy to do once we know the story, that's why I asked. Uploading to "ID Request" is always safe.
