No, This is a mosquito, Toxorhynchites rutilis.You can tell by the large size and downward-curved proboscis. Seems quite strange to see one in Illinois in November.

You're thinking of Chicago. I'm only an hour from Kentucky and the mosquitoes are still thick - although thicker than usual this year.
Thanks for the ID. I thought mosquitoes this size only grew in Texas or Alaska!
