South Florida Moth Caterpillar? - Automeris io

Size: 1.25"
Can anyone tell me what this caterpillar is and what it eats? I found it near grass and dead buttonwood leaves.

Automeris io - Io Moth - Hodges#7746


According to the Guide, it eats "numerous plants and trees, including birches, clover, corn, elms, maples, oaks, willows, roses, cotton, hibiscus, azaleas, palms, and even some grasses." Welcome to BugGuide!
