Assassin Bug - Acholla multispinosa - female

Assassin Bug - Acholla multispinosa - Female
Stow, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
November 2, 2005
Size: 15mm
The closest I could find in the guide is a Wheel Bug, but it doesn't have the wheel, just a hump on it's back where the wheel would be.

Acholla multispinosa
Magnificent image of a female Acholla multispinosa! Nice job.

This must be the season for these assassins. I almost overlooked this one. It was on an information kiosk with about 20 Western Conifer Seed Bugs. Glad I checked them all out. Thanks for the ID, and the compliment Eric.
