Anthonomus elongatus LeConte. Color is variable and lighting can change it. I have found a pale blue background preferable for good photos when doing these for taxonomic papers.

true colors
note: the true colors of this weevil show best in the images with the bluish background. (I currently am using Playdough to hold unmounted beetles in position for imaging, but I can't seem to find the right color (and I really like green backgrounds) that doesn't skew the camera's color balance. The blue background is a Formica sample from Lowes)

an Anthonomus sp. of some kind (or closely-related genus).
