Size: ~1-2mm
This is the upper surface of the leaf, with a single Dryocosmus minusculus gall (lower edge of leaf in this photo). The galls are very fussy about where on the leaf they will grow -- this one has to be on the upper surface, whereas Dryocosmus dubiosus has to be on the lower surface.
