Hi WonGun Kim -- I just decided to register with this forum and am leaving notes on potential species IDs for arthropod parasitic fungi.

This stuff on the back is definitely a member of Laboulbeniales fungi (ascomycetes), and I suspect it may be a member of Dimorphomyces or Dimeromyces.

If you are interested in a more specific ID, please contact me at monicabeth10@gmail.com

Excellent!
You may already be aware of this, but we are trying to collect thumbnail links to all of BugGuide's images of arthropod pathogenic fungi here. I look forward to incorporating your suggested IDs into that page.

Thnks, guys!
I didn't expect it was fungi...

or eggs?
?

hmm...
either something fungal, or... no, nothing...

Probably fungi
of the order Laboulbeniales. They are specialists on insect exoskeletons. I have found them most often on carabids. Look here in BugGuide under that name for more information, images, and discussion.

there are
BG images for the coccinellid, Harmonia axyridis, with this fungus, also.

Many Harmonia axyridis examples here. Just one carabid example--if BugGuide has others, I'd be interested to know.
