Kitchen Sink Spider - Sergiolus capulatus - female

Kitchen Sink Spider - Sergiolus capulatus - Female
Alexandria, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
February 6, 2010
While eating breakfast at my counter, I saw something over in the sink that I initially took to be a bee or wasp, from the stripes. But what a gorgeous spider she turned out to be! I've never seen this kind before. What is she?

Very pretty
I have seen spiders like this, but with more stripes and more yellow.

Thanks!
That sure looks like her! What striking spiders.

Looks a lot like
one of the Ground Spiders in the genus Sergiolus.

However, spiders are tricky, I'm not an expert, and I've been burned before--so please wait for confirmation/correction. :)
