Short-winged katydid
Wow, what terrific shots of a female short-winged katydid! The genus is Dichopetala. The species may be D. castanea, but I am no expert on them by any means. Great addition to the guide, though!

mountain-dwelling short-winged katydid - Dichopetala oreoeca
I think I found a match for this, once you got me looking in the right direction. Here's a link to the site identifying this katydid. The range map on this site lists it in the Big Bend area of Texas, and this was photographed a few hundred miles east, but maybe that's all they have recorded, and it's not conclusive. Thanks Eric.
