Rescued from the landlord's pool. This photo was originally very dark and I had to lighten it in Photoshop -- resulting colors may not be entirely accurate. The pattern on the back, which looks like an arrow with a dot on either side, is so interesting! I wish I had taken more images at some different angles, but apparently this is the only picture I took. :-(

I thought I only had one image...
...of this springtail, but I found a second one which I just added! The black markings in the second shot appear much more subtle...

[EDIT: Hmmm... I hope these really are photos of the same individual. The photos were taken one after the other and I don't remember there being more than one springtail that looked like this. Still, they do look pretty different from one another.]
