Explanation of Names
Specific epithet for the host plant genus Lienig & Zeller first found the larvae on ("Die Raupe lebt an Comarum palustre").
Size
Forewing length 5.0-8.5 mm. (2)
Range
Widely distributed across Europe to China and Japan. It is also found in Canada and has been introduced into the United States (Washington) and New Zealand. (2)
Holotype male: Latvia. (3)
