Mournful Sphinx - Enyo lugubris - female

Mournful Sphinx - Enyo lugubris - Female
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
November 12, 2005
Size: about 2 inches long
This guy seriously looked like a leaf stuck on the side of our van. When husband tried to "flick" it off, he didn't WANT to be flicked off and just moved over a little bit. Has been in same spot all day.

Frass
I am going to move this to frass due to image quality. Keep submitting!

This is currently our only
Texas image. We would be tempted to save it until something better comes along.

Thanks
Sorry, I forgot to check that. I will try to edit it and move it.

I think
you've found a female Mournful Sphinx Moth. See comparison shot .

THANKS Sphinx
I think so too, after I posted it I found another one on this website.
Thank you for the clarification. She's really cool!
