Good ID Scott! This is indeed a eupodid. Beautiful little guy too. Members of this family are supposedly quite colorful, but the color dilutes in alcohol, so most people who see these in Berlese samples just observe a small white mite with large hind legs. Also, great shot of the eyes. Eupodids often have highly reflective eyes, the uniqueness of which has never been investigated to my knowledge.

I found lots of them foraging on this piece of wood. I guess they came up from the soil.
