Moved from Myopa.

Keys to M. clausa in Camras(1), and agrees well with the description and discussion there.

In particular, note the:

1) The overall rufous color of the abdomen, and its short, sparse, hairs;
2) The pairs of lateral, semi-circular, and distinct-edged pollinose spots on tergites III and IV...and the general pollinosity of tergite V;
3) The length of the 2nd antennal segment is greater than the length of the 3rd.
4) The New York location, and the apparent characters of the "curticornis complex", point to M. clausa...the only member of that complex ranging east of the Rockies.
