This is what happens to small insects who wander too close to vespids:


For yours, maybe European Paper Wasp?? Based on orange antennae.

Your wasp must be pretty small, based on the aphid. I discovered my aphid in the pic far later, so I didn't see how it turned out. I do have pics of the Euro paper wasps eating other insects though.
