Assassin bug with prey - Sinea diadema

Assassin bug with prey - Sinea diadema
Lake Placid, Highlands County, Florida, USA
October 25, 2009
Size: 10mm approx
This looks much the same as the Spined assassin bug I photographed in the spring of 2009. I am not sure how to tell the difference, though, between a spined assassin and a spiny assassin. Also, is that an aphid it has impaled? The prey insect kept wriggling for awhile as the assassin bug walked along with it stuck on it's probiscis.
