Only species in the genus in North America. Another species can be found in South and Central America, as well as the Caribbean Islands (Trinidad, Puerto Rico).

Blatchley stated that this species "ranges from New Jersey west to Missouri and southwest to Florida, Arizona, Yucatan, and the West Indies." (1)
