Bumble Bee - Bombus ternarius - male

Bumble Bee - Bombus ternarius - Male
Bolton, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
August 31, 2004
Looks like it's a close relative to Bombus ternarius, having the reddish hairs on the abdomen. Can species be determined?

Thanks John
It looks like a light colored individual.

I think it is a
ternarius male
