Photo showing particularly high density of galls on along tip of bur oak (Quercus macrocarpa) sapling in grassy old field; approximately 100 galls from previous season collectively occupy these ~20-cm long branches. Sapling and branches not noticeably adversely affected. (Tip of thumb provides scale.)
