These are regular in the coastal plain ponds along SE Massachusetts. This is the northern edge of it's range.

Agreement from Gayle -
"#38064, 38065 Uniform color of costa. Area forward of mesopleural suture dark. Hind tibia black. Clearly L. auripennis. This is an old individual.
The pattern on thorax is faded. An old individual of L. needhami would be more red (less orangey)."
