Size: 19mm
Found this insect digging a hole in the trail. It was stunned for a moment when I tried to move it, thus the lateral view on the left.

"the males are fully winged and look quite different"

so, new genus for the Guide, Kolby -- thank you so much! please keep an eye out for them: we need more good images.
