Possibly American Grasshopper,
Schistocerca americana. In Grasshoppers of Florida (1) this is listed as reaching 68mm - does your measurement include wings (I think theirs do not)?

Yes, my measurement was the total length, and perhaps was subject to some "One-that-got-away" upscaling. Looking at my ruler now, though, makes me think I was not that far off, especially as I held this one in my hand for a time.
