Is the color pattern diagnostic, then?
All of the Paederus images in the Guide seemed to show a decidedly more "bulbous" thorax--enough of a difference to make me leery about suggesting an ID.

Color pattern is not diagnostic. I should've paid closer attention to the pronotal shape. I would have if there was a clear dorsal shot; the somewhat lateral view threw me off.
