Stilt Bug - Jalysus

Stilt Bug - Jalysus
Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
May 15, 2004
I was actually trying to photograph a sweat bee when I saw this delicate stilt bug hiding on the flowers. It was small (10mm long), so I was glad to get a decent shot of it before it flew off.

See the tiny spine projecting from the back of it's thorax? It's probably a species of the genus Jalysus.
