Adult Female - Pardosa ontariensis - Female

Size: BL = 7 mm
Collected this female from my lawn a few weeks ago. She just molted to maturity the other day and I was able to confirm her ID. This species was out as soon as the snow started to melt in early March, and is abundant now.

Identification was based on keys, diagrams, and description in The Wolf Spiders, Nurseryweb Spiders, and Lynx Spiders of Canada and Alaska, Dondale and Redner, 1990, pages 97-100, 149-150.
