Identification
Two or more (!) forms, one has the large white patch on forewing (in the male only?). White streak on forewing distinctive if large white patch not present. So is the "\__/" pattern on the forewing, apparently. This is present whether the white patch is there or not.
This species is confusing!

Includes eastern North America
Life Cycle
Larvae probably feed on grasses(?). Found on oak trees at night. Comes to bait and to light.
