Identification
C. conica can be distinguished from the other species in this genus by the folded paramedian apophysis and one or two ventral macrosetae on coxa 4, and by the posteriorly tapered median septum. (1)

In the west from Alaska south to California.
In the east from Newfoundland south to Virginia.
Life Cycle
Mature from mid-may to summer. Egg sac is round and golden yellow.(1)
