Harmonia axyridis

Harmonia axyridis
University Houses Community Gardens, Madison, Wisconsin, USA
October 20, 2005
Size: ~8 mm
Multicolored Asian lady beetle feeding on sesame seeds. Curious enough the mature seed pods had no seeds, I wonder why? I did try one from the same fresh cluster and it was nice and oily. The only other beetle around was the the Spotted Cucumber beetle. It was rather cold but very sunny late fall weather.
