H. bipunctalis
Two-spotted Herpetogramma. The photo by Bob Patterson that you linked to has been re-identified and placed on the H. bipunctalis page at MPG, along with Troy's photo, which used to be beside yours on BugGuide's ipomoealis page. I made a page for Two-spotted Herpetogramma here.

Incidentally, H. ipomoealis is listed as a synonym of H. fluctuosalis at All-Leps, and I couldn't find photos of either of those names on the Internet.
