Crescent butterflies
- Pearl Crescent, I think, but I find these tricky to nail down. Very nice shot!

 
Phyciodes tharos
Hannah you were correct; this is a pair of Pearl Crecents. The large amount of orange right across the middle the forwing (even below) is a great clue. P. phaon has a band of near white color crossing this area.
