Fly - Cochliomyia macellaria

Fly - Cochliomyia macellaria
St George Island, Franklin County, Florida, USA
November 25, 2005
I had to crop this out of a much larger image, so the quality is not great. There were dozens of these pretty blue flies with dark thoracic stripes on ?goldenrod near the beach. Anyone recognize the species?

Secondary screwworm.
So sorry, Hannah, don't know how this one got by me on the first round:-) Nice image of Cochliomyia macellaria.

No apology necessary
- I consider an ID within 24 hours very acceptable!
I see these flies are fond of goldenrod, judging by the Maryland image you also identified.
