Found this guy in our yard while I was cutting weeds & raking leaves. (live oak/chaparral habitat). I thought: "Gee, I guess I'll have to stop doing yard work and photograph bugs. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it." Looks like .

for confirming the ID. Now that spring is here, I'm out photographing bugs again. I spent much of the fall and winter developing a website for IDing local marine inverts: Monterey Inverts, using both new digital photos and scans of 35mm slides from our days at MLML.
