Size: around 3 mm
I have this in alcohol for Rod, hopefully it's mature. Found in the grass under a large fir tree down by the pond.

Nope
I had it in a vial and the little bugger died before I could take any studio shots. I don't shoot dead ones.. usually. I didn't know it would be anything this interesting. I have noticed that the smaller a spider is, the easier it dies. The little ones need to have moist towels placed in the vial right away so they don't croak.

Well, that would be a nice find -- RC is the one who moved the species from Lepthyphantes in 1988. Fingers crossed.
Lissner writes that the distinguishing characteristics of Saaristoa are: head not elevated in males; all tibiae with two dorsal spines (i.e., tibial spine formula: 2222). Metatarsus IV no trichobothrium
Your specimen certainly seems to have the same broad carapace anteriorly that the other species do.
