Excellent wasp mimic - Tenthredo

Excellent wasp mimic - Tenthredo
Marin County, California, USA
April 24, 2010
Size: 12 mm body length
Found visiting flowers of invasive weeds next to a fire road. I didn't realize it wasn't a yellow jacket till I got it in the net. Is it a Tenthredo species? It seems to most closely resemble the sawfly below, but has black tarsi and the bands on the tergites are a bit different.

Tenthredinindae, Tenthredininae
This is a Tenthredo. It resembles the image used for comparison, but it is a different species (antennae much more slender, color, etc.).
