Part of the Brood X 17-year periodic cicada invasion we're living with in the D.C. suburbs right now. Photo taken in early evening, no flash. Cicada is about 2 inches in length. Not sure if it is male or female, but I am 99% sure about it being M. septendecim; the orange on the underside was pretty pronounced
