Young Leafhopper nymph - Gyponana

Young Leafhopper nymph - Gyponana
Kendale Lakes, Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA
April 24, 2010
Size: about 4 mm
So as I was walking around looking for bugs to photograph when this little guy began to crawl up my leg. I sat down so that I could take pictures of it crawling up my leg. I am fairly certain it is a leafhopper nymph and not sure if IDable further than that. It seems similar to Sharpshooter nymphs I've seen here though I think mine is much flatter/thinner. the shape reminded me very much of John and Jane Balaban's pic #193904 of an Aphrodes. Of course I don't know if mine is a younger stage and more translucent. (though according to our postings they seem to have been about the same size). One last bit of info: I'm not sure if this behavior helps in the ID but every time I brought the camera close it would stop and sway from side to side quite deliberately (like mantids imitating leaves). I'm sure it was in the lawn grass, where it was placed back after the photo shoot.
